1 Big Mistake Your YouTube IELTS Teacher Is Making (And How to Fix it)
When you watch a youtube video on IELTS, you might feel that you just learned something and ‘IELTS isn’t so hard’, and this calms you. However, youtube teachers are giving you simplified solutions which keep your mark low. This is how to make it better.
However, you pay a price for this feeling, and that is your dreams.

This question was used by E2 on Youtube.
.
find out how to…..
This is the intro of the answer they consider to be a band 9. (you can find this on youtube)

.

The first major problem is being too general.
.
My answer gives two reasons ‘why’.
These two reasons form the main ideas for each paragraph.

Why detail adds to your ielts score.
Argumentative Strength: A specific thesis forces you to think critically and plan your argument before you start writing. It moves you from simply stating a fact to presenting a defensible argument. For example, instead of writing “Technology has many effects,” a more detailed thesis would be “While technology offers numerous benefits, such as enhanced communication, it also poses challenges like privacy concerns and social isolation.” This shows you’re not just rambling; you’re developing a focused, well-supported position which leads to a higher mark.

The E2 answer does not say why it’s a positive development here. (It’s not a fatal mistake, but is it not clearer for the reader if the reasons are here?)
.
This says there is a positive effect on society.
To make it better, add ‘because it is a caring attitude’.
